ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I have always been interested in studying Human Mind and Mankind. My work
is about memories, thoughts, feelings, analysis, and things that impress
me around my existence.
I like trying to understand how we are as part of society, and for me, painting
is a way of communication to express my philosophy
through colours and forms.
Sometimes I will create a piece that is about fears, mistakes that we do as Human Beings, goals, etc. And sometimes I will do close ups of things around me that I see as wonders, like flowers, and fruit.
Because my paintings express who I am and how I see life, I will always
appear somewhere in the painting, represented with a face formed with the
numbers 10, 6, and 4. (The 10 forms the eye, the 6 forms the nose, and the
4 forms the lips). If you look closely, you will find a face somewhere in
all my paintings. If I am admiring something, I will be in a corner, watching
the object. If the creation is expressing a point of view about life and
existence, or a memory, then the main figure will be me or others.
My Mexican blood brings out my intense, defined personality, giving me the
desire for strong forms, vivid colours, and sometimes unconventional formats.
My paintings are bold, vibrant and colourful, and most of the times will
have texture to make it more dramatic.
I use Acrylics on Canvas, sealed with a clear top.
